Do I have to buy hardware from TrixyFleet?
No. Our BYOD plan lets you use cameras and trackers you already own. We support 10+ camera brands and 4 GPS tracker protocols out of the box. The hardware bundles are for fleets that want a turnkey solution with $0 upfront cost.
Who installs the hardware?
We provide detailed quick-start guides and install videos for every certified device. Most GPS trackers are plug-and-play (OBD-II port). For hardwired cameras, we recommend using a local fleet installer or mobile technician. We can connect you with certified installers in your area.
What happens if a device fails?
All certified devices come with manufacturer warranties (typically 2 years). We handle the RMA process and ship replacements. On hardware bundles, we keep spare stock for fast turnaround.
Can I mix different camera brands in my fleet?
Absolutely. That’s our core differentiator. You can run Streamax on some trucks, Surfsight on others, and Motive on the rest — all events flow into the same TrixyFleet dashboard with unified safety scoring.
What cellular data is included?
Hardware bundles include multi-carrier IoT SIM cards with data. Cameras typically use 2–4 GB/month depending on event frequency. GPS trackers use under 50 MB/month. Data costs are included in the monthly subscription.
Can I cancel my hardware bundle?
Starter Kit has a 24-month commitment; Pro Kit has 36 months. Early termination fees apply for the remaining hardware cost. The BYOD plan is month-to-month with no commitment. If you buy hardware outright, there’s no lock-in at all.
Do you support trailer and asset tracking?
Yes. We offer battery-powered asset trackers with 10+ year battery life for trailers, containers, and unpowered equipment. Solar-powered options are available for outdoor assets.
